At the age of 10 I tried to draw the Barcelona Metro map with Word. Obviously I failed. But I learned that Arial was not the same typeface as the one on that map. Years later I learned it&#8217;s called Helvetica.<\/p>\n<p>During my teenage years I discovered vector design programs such as Freehand or Illustrator. I began to suspect that the maps were not made in Word. Not with Paint.<\/p>\n<p>Later I discovered layout programs (first QuarkXPress and then InDesign). I realized that despite not knowing how to use them, important posts are made with these programs.<\/p>\n<p>I started Architecture and there I learned, among many other things, more tools for representing spaces at different scales: from 1:1 for construction details to 1:10,000 for urban plans. All this under the pressure of deliveries, the few hours of sleep and the fatal errors of AutoCAD.<\/p>\n<p>Already with the right tools and with the aim of learning how to use them through useful and aesthetic projects, I started making some maps.<\/p>\n<p>And one thing leads to another.
